I have a 2010 silverado. I have been unable to get the cover off for my trailer pin connector. I have tried using a screwdriver to pry it and it will not open any advice?

The entire unit should unscrew like a headlight and pull out. You can see the tabs and slots in the picture of the back.
Jacob, I think he just wants to open the cover, so he can plug in the trailer cord.

Mine hinges on the top, or bottom, don't recall which way

Oh. 🤷‍♀️ Pics from the back confused me.

Then it hinges at the top so the spring will hold the clamp shut on the plug. You will have to pry at the bottom, somehow. No idea why a plastic cocer would be ceased on a plastic sleeve, though...
Ok thanks mine does not hinge but it does unscrew I will swap it out for one that does hinge

It should do this. Curious why yours doesn't. Once you replace it, break it apart and find out. 😁

The tabs in the rear view photo are of the bumper cover where it snaps into the slots in the bumper.
