How does the G80 handle mismatched tires? [Expired Topic]

My Suburban has the G80 "locking" differential. I checked my spare tire the other day, and it's smaller than the other four tires. I know some differential traction aids don't like mismatched tires on the same axle. How about the G80? Are mismatched tires going to fool the G80 into thinking that one tire is spinning and cause it to lock up? If so, I either have to get a proper sized spare, or always put the spare on the front.

Sorry I can't help with this one. Not real familiar with the G80. I do know that it's not a good Idea to mix tire sizes on ony drive axels.
I would be surprised if it locked up. The concern is always that they're going to spin at different speeds and one will burn out or cause other major problems. Mismatched tires are good only to get you off the road and to a tire shop.
Yes, keep them the same size and rotate, rotate, rotate every 5-10K miles!
