Ultimately you need a scanner to check voltage from 0v at closed throttle to 5v at wot. There are no resistance specs in the GM service manual. Sorry:neutral:
How to test and set TPS
Can anyone tell me (step by step) how to check the TPS readings on a 2001 Tahoe? I do have a voltmeter but limited experience using it.
The HO is running rough, lacks pick up and the gas mileage seems to be suffering. I do have a CODE in the computer telling me that the left front O2 sensor is bad.
Besides that, I'm thinking that an improperly adjusted TPS will kill the power too.
