I have my first suburban. It's a 90 GMC v1500 SLE and my wife has a 99 Tahoe. Both are 4wd with 350 V8. I've had plenty of Chevys, but I am a Mopar man at heart. Sorry guys. Lol the Burban is definitely a project. Good straight truck but it needs an engine. So, I figured a 72 corvette 350 will be a nice power plant 8) considering the loose rod in the current engine punctured the oil pan :D lol I think I did ok for $500

It has the overdrive auto trans. What trans is that?

Well. Trying to pull the passenger side head with no luck. I've pulled all 17 head bolts and the oil dipstick brack and exhaust down pipe and manifold. The front of the head is loose, but it seems like something in the back is holding it down. Any ideas? I'll post a couple photos tomorrow for visual aid

Well, pi** on it. I'm gonna run the new engine as it! It already has a bigger cam a appears to have some work done to the double hump heads. I know they have 2.02 valves. The block is supposed to be 1972, but it hasn't quit raining long enough for me to uncover it and verify. Cal Custom aluminum valve covers Eddie performer rpm intake, push rod girdles, and whatever else may be done internally will

Well, I haven't done anything to the truck yet. Waiting for the tranny repair. I did however score another engine. It's a TBI motor so it will be plug and play to get my truck running sooner. I'll still use the Eddie intake with a TBI adapter. I'll blend the centuries of the TBI and adapter and get a custom chip for it.
