my tailgate has a place where the previous owner removed something and it left the glue which in turn ruined the paint. This got me to thinking I would like to add some type of emblem over top of it. But I was thinking something like remington logo. or who knows. a sheriffs badge or just something different. you know the badges like the little jesus fish? does anyone have any they could show or tell me where to look for such a thing

Honestly, I would just get another bowtie and paint it to my liking (which for me would be black). Since you want something else, though... any decal would work.

Also, there are plenty of sites on the web that make custom vehicle decals. That may be a cool way to go about it. You would just have to think something up.

im afraid i have been misunderstood. I dont mean the bowtie on the tailgate. I mean on the bottom of the tailgate, such as the LT emblem

I know autozone has some different emblems (mostly chrome I think). That may be a good place to check. Or maybe something like this

I think you could get this from a dealership or maybe even ebay.
