I replaced my alternator (only putting out 6 volts). It is hooked up the way it is supposed to be but im having issues. The battery seemed to be ok but I dont have a charger. I jumped the truck and drove it with the hopes of it charging. The issue I am have is the dash and guages will click and flicker ever 10 seconds or so and the battery light will go on and off. Any suggestions before I go buy a new battery??? I'm a novice but the alternator is easy enough to change. Thank in advance for the help!

You forgot to plug in the regulator wire, didn't you? No worries.
