I have a 2006 Silverado with an electrical problem. About 70% of the time there is a loss of power to the driver’s side seat and seat heater. The passenger power seat works fine but not the heater. If the driver’s side seat heater is working the passenger side seat heater is also working. My thoughts are there must be a short somewhere. I am wondering if this would be in a switch or a cable harness? Any suggestions on where to start? Any suggestions on how to test the switches or harness for shorts?

Much appreciated!

Just to clarify, it is only the seat heaters (both sides) that is causing you grief?

And when they work, both seat and back work fine and when they quit, nothing works?

The power is also lost to the drivers side seat so no seat adjustments can be made. The passenger seat power consistently works.
Power seats are great until there is no power.
Thanks

I think '06 trucks have seat control module mounted under the driver's seat, that would be a starting place, check for loose connectors, or pinched wires.
