Sounds like a bad ground issue, but I'm not versed in the seat power wiring, so I can't really say where to start looking.
Intermittent Power to Drivers Side Electric Seat and Seat Heater
I have a 2006 Silverado with an electrical problem. About 70% of the time there is a loss of power to the driver’s side seat and seat heater. The passenger power seat works fine but not the heater. If the driver’s side seat heater is working the passenger side seat heater is also working. My thoughts are there must be a short somewhere. I am wondering if this would be in a switch or a cable harness? Any suggestions on where to start? Any suggestions on how to test the switches or harness for shorts?
