I'm looking at a used topper off of a 2006 dark blue silverado for my 1999, the guy insists it will match but im not sure. Can anyone help out? Thanks!
The Best way to find out if your 99" and the 2006" have the same Paint, is to go to the Below Link and enter your Trucks Vin # Number........and it will show you what your 99" Silverado came with from the Factory.....everything from what Engine...Trans....to Color of your Interior to the Color of the Exterior Paint....you will be looking for a Series of Letters and number's....it will take 20/25 seconds for the information to download,.....once the link show's you everything your all set to find your paint code,

Example the RPO(Paint) Code for my Truck is.....50U....which is Summit/Olympic White.....once you have your truck's RPO(paint) Code ask the owner of the 2006" to look in his Glove Box.....there he will see a White Sticker and His Trucks Vin# Number and a Series of Letter's and Number's and if he has the Same.....RPO (Paint) Code as yours than Both Trucks match.

Link....to enter your Trucks Vin # Number,

I think im going to have to drive there... Its an hour and a half drive. I guess I will just have to see how different the two blues really are. It will be a bummer if it doesnt match, its a great deal.

Well sometimes paint changes some with age ( little fading etc..) so maybe the colors won't be off to much. Good luck.
