Hi, welcome to the forum.

Don't know what you have in mind for towing. There are a wide range of hitches/towing ratings. I think a Traverse is suitable for Class I, II or III depending on engine, drivetrain, etc. Provide more details about your vehicle and the item you want to tow and somebody here can probably provide more details.

As a side note, I'm aware of an RV dealer in London, Ontario (just outside Detroit) that installs a wide variety of hitch packages. Andy Thompson, the owner of Can-Am RV, is an expert in the field. He's willing to speak to people even if they aren't customers. Give him a call.

No, I live quite a distance away - the southeastern United States. But I've met Andy Thompson several times and think he's a reputable person and has a very keen understanding of towing and how to set up vehicles (even small vehicles) for towing.

Thanks for the great welcome! That thread in the traverse form is one that I've been following. It's actually the thread that led me here to the GM Truck forum. But for someone not well versed in these things, There are still some questions. I will take my questions there and continue in the thread.
