I'm considering lifting my 2001 Suburban / Z71 for off-road driving in Baja.

Anyone have experience and want to send a photo?

I'm also wondering how big a spare tire I can carry where the current spare is -- I don't have room to store it on top.

I've been thinking about either a 4 inch lift with 33 inch tires or a 6 inch lift with 35 inch tires.

Thanks,

Joel

When lifting a vehicle there are a few things to consider.

Lifting the body won't effect ground clearance of the axles. You will need bigger tires for this.

Bigger tires also will effect your turning radius. So you have to find some kind of happy medium.

When you put on bigger tires the ground clearance does increase, but you won't be able to make as sharp of a turn.

Your speedometer will not be acurate if it is not adjusted to compensate for the larger tire size.
