Hey everyone im looking to get new brakes in about 2 weeks and I came across this at summit racing, its the power stop rotors and brake pads and I was wondering has anyone used this on thier silverado? Ive used powerstop rotors on my tahoe before and they were decent but I wanted to see what others are using. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PWR-K2009/

I just changed the pads and rotors on my truck a couple weeks ago.. I used "Centric" rotors and "Posi-Quiet" (by Centric) pads.. They seem to be working pretty well.. no noises or dust, and stop fairly decent, even with a decently loaded trailer..

JRD761 thats good to hear and something I will look into. I use my truck to take my motorcycle to and from the race track and tow a race car to the track maybe 4 to 6 times a year and the rest its just driving to work.

Take a look at EBC brakes. I got mine from AJUSA.

I've got Raybestos pads & rotors all around and they work well.

I've run SSBC on my past 3 trucks.. No problems and great customer service... I have the Quick stop system on my 08 now with the cross drilled rotors and Hawk Pads... Check out www.ssbrakes.com

Im still on the stock pads and rotors on the truck, but if you are looking at cross drilled/slotted check out R1 concepts. The ones you listed are good ones, just thought I would throw out another option. I used R1 rotors and then napa pads on my wifes car and like the added performance of the cross drilled slotted rotors. I would recommend getting their premium rotors rather than their economy ones with the R1's.

Ok well ive decided that I think I will just go with the setup from summit racing for now until i can afford some real good brakes
