hi everyone - not new to forums, but new to this one. lifetime chevy owner and recently purchased a 2011 texas edition silverado extended cab. looking forward to all of the great questions and answers that you typically find on forums like these.

i'll try and keep my question brief. i recently upgraded the audio system in my silverado. i retained the factory head unit, but installed an alpine amp, 10" sub, and front and rear focal speakers. the problem i'm having now is the turn signals are now annoyingly loud. it's my understanding this is due to the sound of the turn signals being routed through the radio to the front speakers - now that the radio is amped, the sound of the turn signals is amped as well. i've been told the only way to "fix" the problem is with an after market head unit. anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?
