Check out Adampaul1964's truck, he has the older body style Z71 truck but it is lowered. I'm not too knowledgeable about lowering trucks, but I think you would install drop shackles in the rear and drop spindles in the front to achieve the lowered look.

Belltech has several kits for your truck, 2.0-3.0 and a 5.0-6.0 kit. With or without shocks and swaybars.

We have Belltech 1.5-3.0 kit on my wifes '05 Trailblazer since new, about 80,000 miles and no problems.

Lowering a 4X4 is not retarded, to each his own. You first need to decide how far you want to go. Do you ever haul anything? do you want to cut a big chunk out of your frame (c-notch) ? Do you want to "flip" the axle? Are you doing this yourself or having it done at a shop, cost factors etc. (Although if you have the money to supercharge, money shouldn't be a problem). Generally on the GMT800,(99-06) you can lower a 2wd truck up to 4" before you need a c-notch. I removed the factory lift block and added 2" drop shackles for 4" of drop. The GMT900 (07-11) can probably be done similarly but there are probably some minor differences between the two.As far as the front, drop spindles are the way to go and I think you can add a lowering spring too. . Do some research, look at different suspension manufacturers and see what's available.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.
