Hello to everyone. I just recently got a 1962 c20 pickup. the engine is a 350 from a '74 olds. I'm not sure what transmission it has but its a 4 speed with a super low granny 1st. I haven't had the time to do much with the truck yet but it seems to be a pretty solid rig and mechanically sound. the only thing that i'm a little upset about is the fact that i'll have to take off the collector vehicle plate and re-register it with regular plates. Washington state law prohibits using a collector vehicle as a business vehicle of any type, and this truck will definitely be put to work hauling scrap and lumber. here are some pics

I'll definitely be VERY careful when hauling things with it. The flatbed can get as beat up as it wants, but one ding or scratch in the cab and i'll be pissed lol.

I actually got to get the truck out on the road and do a fair amount of driving in it today. it drives amazingly well for a vehicle that's pushing 50 years old. The lack of power steering really isn't too bad in this truck and it definitely has plenty of power under the hood with the 350. i love the fact that you don't even have to use the throttle to get it going in reverse or first, you just let the clutch out and it goes. it makes navigating tight spots like parking lots MUCH easier

EDIT: I'll try and get some engine bay and interior pics tomorrow

i finally got the truck out for a slightly longer trip today (40 miles round trip). I had some issues with the carb and the distributor and was stranded for a short time in a gas station parking lot. fortunately, a fellow old school chev truck owner showed up, bought me 4 gallons of gas, and stuck around and helped for 45 minutes until the truck finally started again.
