Hi, all! My name is Matt and I'm a new member here from Torrance, CA! I recently had my third kid (another boy!) and needed to upgrade to a bigger vehicle. I just picked up a white 1997 GMC Suburban C1500 with 130k miles on the odometer and love it! It does have a few issues (cat. converter OBDII code P0430, lowered suspension, rear A/C blowing hot, etc.) that I hope fellow members could help me out with or shoot me some pointers! I also work at Allstate Insurance, so if anyone has any insurance questions or is looking to save some money with better coverage, feel free to reach out to me!

Thanks. I bought my truck in 2002 with 80,000 miles on it. It now has 250,000 miles. Its in near show room condition. I have been putting it in some of out local car shows. It gets a lot of attention. It is a Silverado, 3 door with a 5.7L (350) and a 4L60E trans. All original. I do have some performance mods, but have not been any deeper into the engine than the intake manifold. I have a bunch of pics posted here in my media. Just click on my avatar, then media. There are 88 pics in there. 97 was a very good year for these trucks. You can hit me up with any questions, and I will try to answer them. I dont know everything about these trucks, but I have been fooling with them since 1999. I have picked up a trick or 2.
