Hey guys! I'm a criminal defense attorney in Atlanta GA, and someone in my family just bought a 99 GMC Suburban so I thought I'd go ahead and join up now so I can know what to do as the calls came in to "quick come fix this!"

It seems like a good truck, although when it warms up (trips over 90 miles) it tends to shift hard in 1st to 2nd. It's an auto with 150k. Has a rebuilt tranny at 120k, new brakes, new ac, new battery, new tires (stock 16") and solid maintenance records going back to 2003. It's the 350 not the 454. Had my mechanic look it over and he didn't see anything exciting. It's 4wd.

I was also looking at truck vault storage for the back of it. I thought it might be cheaper and better to simply build my own rather then pay someone else for a set of drawers. If anyone has done that on their own please let me know how it went.

Welcome to the club. I'm sure someone on this site has built a 'Burb vault.

Welcome aboard!
And for the tranny issue, if you take a look in the powertrain subforum there is a sticky thread that discusses that issue.
