Glad to be part of the group. Lifelong GM owner. Have a 96 Silverado with 5.0 305 engine that I've owned since 2001. Long story short heater hose fitting broke in 2015. Fixed. Engine got hot but not critical. Started it up and had water pouring out under the alternator onto the intake so I'm figuring the intake gasket is blown. Well 5 years and multiple surgeries later it's time to get the girl going again. Hadn't touched her since I parked her. So.. Clean out all the critter nests under the hood, check to make sure no wires have been chewed thru.. Looks good. New Battery check.. Power to everything. Gas gauge pegs past full.. Crap.. Fuel pump is dead.. Crap again... But put a little gas in the throttle body and started right up.. :giggle: Now the fun begins.

Welcome

Fuel pump could be a bad ground
Could be a 12v problem.
Check the relay, find it in the fuse panel, and hold a finger on it while someone turns the key to run.
You should feel it operate (click).
