Just installed a new head unit in my 2006 gmc sierra denali w/ the bose sound system. Sound quality is not bad but the volume level is extremely low even when the h/u is at full blast. I've run across people with similar symptoms, but none that match my vehicle or that have any solution. Who's got some answers? I have made a new solid ground for it, all wires are correct according to pin outs, volume was great before the new h/u. Factory amp bypass harness? Factory amp needs more power? TIA

I would say your HU output does not match the Bose' amps required input

-What wire harness did you use to install the radio? -What brand radio are you using?

There should be an adjustment dial on the side of the GMOS Black box, instructions below, page 5. Same for adjusting OnStar audio and the chimes.

Audio level adjustment:
• With the vehicle and radio turned on, turn the volume up 3/4 of the way.
• With a small flat-blade screwdriver, adjust the potentiometer clockwise to raise the audio level; counterclockwise to lower the audio level.
• Once at a desired level, audio level adjustment is complete.
