Hey guys, just wanted to quickly introduce myself. Just got rid of my 1987 K1500 truck (just hit 300K miles) and picked up a 1993 Chevy K2500 w/ the 454 (170,000 miles). It's my second vehicle (or third if you count the bike) and I'm loving it so far!

It has a couple leaks (oil pan, front seal on the rear diff) and I just had to replace the AC Compressor, but other than that it seems to be in great condition!

Any advice for a new owner? Anything to look for?

Pics?? Of course you want pics!! I only have one, but I'll repost with more when I get her cleaned up.

There were actually some awful looking running boards on it which I ripped off in the first 30 seconds it was home! On the list is a good set of nerf bars, a new grill, and new front bumber with integrated fog/driving lights. Let the mods begin!

Welcome to the site. I like the rims. Not too flashy, they get the job done, and their 8 lug. Most of the ones I see these days, I'm not so fond of.

I think the red color made it look a bit "Elton". Painted black it might look more down to earth, like "Clint" or "Chuck".

Don't mess with the Chuck

You say "Elton" like its a bad thing. .... Speaking of Chuck......check out this list of Chuck Norris-ism's
One of my favorites is: Chuck Norris' dog is trained to pick up his own poop because Chuck Norris will not take sh!t from anyone.:rofl:

Ya know it wasn't an observation I had made, but now that you mention it.:lol:
Put some feathers, or rhinestones around the edges and it will definitely be Elton...

I do like the Westin Bull Bar...but if you're gonna do it do the Ultimate...it has the skid plate attached!
