I just bought a 1990 Regency Suburban as you might have guessed from my user name....:great:

Glad to be here!!

I bought it online and will pick it up Saturday. Can't wait!!!

I bought a 1990 Blazer new in 90 and drove it 10 years...so I am familiar with this chassis and mechanicals to a certain extent. Love these trucks!

I look forward to chatting here with fellow Suburban fans!!

Thanks!

Yes. I have to board a puddle-jumper and fly to Arkansas. It's about a 3.5 hour drive back home. Let's hope it's in as good a condition as the seller says!! Otherwise...I'll be using my wireless connection from the side of the road to ask questions about fixing a stalled "1990 Regency Conversion"...

Can I ask how you bought it? eBay or something else? I sold a truck about 5 years ago to a guy off eBay, it was just after a mess of hurricanes so the prices of trucks in Florida went up like 30%, so he flew out here, paid cash $5250 at the bank and I signed the truck over to him. He said he was going to stop at the Casino's on the way home. ;-)

Post some pictures when you get her home. The photo gallery should be fixed by then, we're having a slight problem with it right now, but it will be cleaned up and working by then.

Ebay.

A flight is less than $100.....and the seller is picking me up from the airport....so the gas to get home will probably cost more than the flight did..

No casino stops for me however......

:sign0016:.. Yeah i've always been scared to buy a vehicle of ebay, autotrader etc but one of my buddies buys all his vehicles on line. Right now he's got a land rover and a viper. Looks like I need to follow in his lead.

I have been an on-line seller of a car before....but this is the first time I've been an on-line BUYER....

Let's pray my first experience is a good one!

It can start by getting me home from Arkansas without any problems...

Nice Suburban. Regency has a shop on I35W ten miles north of Fort Worth, I was working on a 91 Suburban conversion and was surprised to find they still sell older conversion parts over the counter if they have them in stock.

Hey, very nice truck.I jealous-my recently purchased 1998(197,000 miles) is just 2wd and just an LS.
The 1/2 pickups/Burbs/Tahoes GMs/Chevys have some big advantages. They actually get fairly decent mpg considering the carrying capacity(about 12 pure city-about 17+ pure hy for the 5.7-bit better for the 5.3-but the 5.3 is for sissies of course)Used ones are GREAT BARGAINS now. They are priced waaaay less than the gasoline cost increase should dictate. They are extremely versatile-a Burb is like a long bed pickup, but comfortable for 5 people several dogs and cats etc..I can carry full sized 4x8 paneling/sheetrock/plywood with the doors closed.Couldn't do that with any of my pickups, but the 1980 D100 318,and the Burb is waaaay faster, more comfortable, and even gets better mpg that the old 318(the windows also rusted shut in just 3 years on the Dodge-POS in some ways!!)
You can buy a NEW-NEW-GM motor for just $2500 delivered-new trans for just $1700-try that with any other brand!!Shoot for just over $4000 you can get most of a new drivetrain(if you don't mind spending a month of weekends working in the driveway).
Well, that is a nice one.I have had good luck with online cars.My Burb was actually local because our economy is so poor(New Orleans) that prices are down for everything used.
Luck,
Charlie

A few more.....oops!!

Looks like I peaked out on the number of photos I can post.....

Welll.......You'll just have to use your imagination to see just how pimped out this baby really is!!!!

I couldn't be more pleased....

Now I need to do some research on leather restoration (re-dye and oil) as the drivers seat (which was not photographed or mentioned by the seller) is cracked and needs some mink oil luvin..
