I have been playing around with my 93 Chevy C1500....bought a set of 31 inch tires. Decided to install one inch horse shoe type leveling spacers under the coil springs, for a two inch lift. Mostly for looks / stance. Now Im having trouble re-installing the shocks! I got new Monroe matics, look identical to the old shocks, but I can't get them to fit! The top end will not aim for the hole. It hits about an inch to the ouside ( tire side) of the top mounting hole. Its not that its too short by length. Its the angle somehow that's off. How do I get that shock in there? I even tried the old shock. Same result. Any ideas?
