Hi all, looking for a little advice please... Got this beauty as my home in Canada and just realised the odometer has started sticking and rolling really slowly. Sometimes it's stops altogether. It worked fine until a few weeks ago and I want to keep the Kms accurate so need to fix it asap. Anyone got any tips for sorting it out myself? Thanks!

My 1988 K1500 did the same thing a few years back. I removed the cluster and disassembled it. I found the shaft that the numbers roll on had worn the plastic where it snaps into the cluster body. This wasn't allowing the gears to mesh and rotate the odometer. I put a piece of wire around the screw next to it to keep pressure on the odometer shaft to keep it in contact with the gears. Problem solved. Hasn't missed a beat in at least 8 years.
