Is there anyone who has installed an optima battery in a 08' or newer Silverado 1500? I cannot find the fitment for this application.

I have not, but did you try sending Optima an email or calling their customer support and asking for the right middle # for your application?

It does not appear they a specific part number for 08 Sierras or Silverados according to the optima website.

Look under the FAQ of their website regarding fitment - they give some tips on choosing a battery even if they dont list one using size etc....

Yeah, the GMT900 trucks use a shorter top post battery. Why do you need/want an Optima?

Deka batteries are really good as well. I have one in my truck and it starts right up every time.
