So my drivers side handle came right off this morning, how dows this thing attach, I see there are three screws but how do they clamp to the handle, can I reattach or were these screws molded into the handle at the factory? also the rod broke that actually opens the latch when you pull on the handle, anyone now how to get a new one in? Will this require the inner panel to be taken off?

Which truck are you working on? As I recall, it's a pain to get the handle in/out of the '99 w/o scratching the paint. I had to get a new rod for mine - from the actuator to the inside handle - it was a dealer item, but only about $6.

I'm back. I think that any repair you're going to do to that handle or rod will have to be done from the inside, so the door panel has to come off. Post up which truck you're working on for more details.
