Just don't mount it directly behind the visor on the driver's side.

Seriously, what type of mounting kit did it come with? Often times the "generic" stuff that they give isn't a good fit for everything and you'll be stuck with trying to figure out another solution.

What part of Spokane, BTW? I lived in Spokane from 1980-1987. We moved into our house about 4 weeks before Mt. St. Helens blew up.

We live in Greenacres close to Liberty Lake. My wife was 10 when mt. st. helens blew. She can remember that very well. We still have a mason jar with volcanic ash in the garage

Hey Andy, usually those things come with a plate that gets slid up between the headliner and the roof. The unit then screws into that piece through the headliner. The biggest problem that you'll have is finding a flat enough surface to mount that to considering the front to back dimensions of the unit. If you have the rear air unit then there is some unable conduits that help with the wiring. If you have more questions just let me know I have an 8 inch in front of the third seat and 6's in both front seat headrests.

Yeah, I was in the local Fry's electronics store on Saturday and they look pretty easy to install. Looks like just have to find a flat spot to slide it up under.

We might get one of those for the boy (and mom) in the backseat if we do a long road trip this fall.

My dad used to work at the Tidyman's corporate office in Greenacres. I too swimming lessons from Jim Tidyman's daughter somewhere out there when I was a little kid.

Yeah, I was like 6 1/2 when St. Helens blew. All I remember was the sky getting dark in the early afternoon ... and it was getting dark the WRONG WAY, west to east. I think we didn't see daylight for like a week and we had to wear masks and change the air filters in our old Suburban just about every day for about a month.

Hi,
no, I'm not done yet... I just switched out the front speakers in the dashboard to some nice infinity kappas with all new speaker wires... Now I'm wiring a 4 channel amp for the speakers in the back doors and under the ceiling and also a mono amp for the subwoofer in the trunk. Not to forget the power converter and the Xbox. All for the kids.... :lol:
As for the screen, I think maybe I take out the middle dome light and replace it with the screen. It comes with dome lights so I wouldn't lose any light. Do you think the power for the map lights would be enough to power the screen? I must say I'm a bit scared to cut the headliner...

The smaller screens don't usually use all that much power, I ran new leads to mine just so I could have all the "gadgets" off the same circuit.

I told my wife it was all for the kids also, mine didn't buy it hope you have better luck ;-)
