check that and also check the t-stat. similar problem in another car that i had and t-stat was problem.
overheating!
if im in stop and go traffic my 05 silverados temp starts to rise, but if im cruising down a highway its fine. any help?

I'm sure there is a better way but one way is after driving and you see the temp getting hot like you explained if you are in a place you can pop the hood and see if they are on. they are set to come on at a certain temp. like I said I dont know any other way (my truck has the clutch fan). I can usually hear them in my two cars that have e-fans
