Well last few day's i was trying to find some header's and i wanted them to be long tube not short tube and found a good name brand Pacesetter. The Armorcoat are $430 bucks and Black one's are $274 along with a $20 discount so lil more than $250 which isn't bad at all for long tube header's. I'm thinking of buying them next week after i get my tax's tom. and install my x pipe on my truck by friday and see how that goes. I might buy the K&N cold air intake 63 series next week also since i can get one for $230 bucks so only $480 buck's for cold ait intake and header's not bad at all.

I will get my buddy to help me do the install. Will i see a good bit of HP and Torque after installing the x pipe, long tube headers, cold air intake, and last week put on a true dual exhaust with flowmaster 40 series dual with new gloss black tips. Any help comment's or sugguestion's i'm willing to listen to what you have to say

I'm no exhaust expert but I would think LT headers, X-pipe, a custom tune, true duals and a CAI would certainly yield a considerable performance boost :glasses:. Best thing to do is put your truck on the dyno and see what kind of #'s it's putting down.

I found it at www.autoanything.com it's the Pacesetter Quik Trip Long Tube Headers they are the Black one's though they are almost $275 but most the time every week they have $20 off anything over $150 or more so could get them close to $250. If i got them i would get them painted so the paint wouldn't just burn off ha.

I have had those headers on my truck for the last year now. And from what i can tell, it gains rpm's so much faster, i don't have cat's on my truck either, but with chambered mufflers it's extremely deep growl, and at higher RPM's it starts to snap. But only one complaint, i got one of the first set of headers off the production line, i waited for them to come out of the factory, and the one o2 sensor bung was pretty much vertical off the collector. And there was not enough room to install between the heat shield and the collector. If i could do it all over again, i would most definitely have gone with ceramic. I cheaped out and painted them myself, but the paint coating didn't last 5 minutes following the exact description on the can.

Has anyone ever heard of Spintech High flow cat's? i found them online for $125 but idk if they are worth it or not it's a good price compared to other high flow cat's..

haha i guess so man idk allot about them but allot people said they aren't worth the money so i want even bother getting any. I will have my magnaflow x pipe tomorrow and have it installed tom. or friday depending on what time i get it thursday afternoon. Hopefully i will be able to tell a difference in some HP and Torque from what i've heard. I paid like $80 bucks for it and from reviews is worth the money.

I bought the PaceSetter LTs from autoanything awhile back, they look to be made with quality. The one shop I took them to commented on how they seemed to be "heavy duty" and of good quality. On a side note, I thought an x-pipe was only needed if you were doing true duals?

Yeah man i am doing true dual's i have dual 2.5 inch pipe ran into a Flowmaster super 40 series dual in/dual out so it's still true dual setup just has a muffler. I have straight's but straights i lost HP,Torque, and Back pressure my engine had lag and it was loud and got tired of it. When i installed the K&N air filter and the new muffler i felt a big difference compared to straights. I love the cound my truck has now and it has a noticable amount of Hp, Torque and engine has no lag anymore. I read online with people having mufflers it still perform's the same by letting the exhaust flow more evenly and let's the gases from each cycylinder banks mingle together to cause the exhaust to be a bit more quiet but has better get up and do along with 10HP gains 10Torque gains that i read online. I think i might change out my muffler sooner or later because they say the x pipe flows better with a muffler thatsstraight thru such as a magnaflow.

I bought some like 2,000 degree high temp paint but i haven't ever used any on anything yet. I might use them on the headers when i order them but idk how they will hold up?

Like i said before, i used the VHT high temperature paint on my headers, sanded everything down, perfectly, put on primer, then the base coat, and then a clear gloss on it. I put at least 6 hours of work into the headers. And the paint lasted a whole 5 minutes. first start up the headers were smoking and bubbling off all the paint in 15 seconds.

If you leave ANY of the paint that is simply used to prevent rust while they sit around waiting to be sold...your high temp paint will peel off with it. Simply sanding it wont work...you have to remove it down to the metal.

Your paint is only as good as what its sticking to.

Yeah, if it had the black paint from the factory that is. I got mine directly from manufacture, without any primer. I wish i still had the pictures. I took my sandblaster to the rust spot and scuffed the surface of the metal with sandpaper.

i think pretty soon i'm gonna buy a set of the Pacesetter long tubes and see how they do on this bad boy ha. Hopefully i will be able to tell a difference i assume i will being that the x pipe showed a bigger difference than i thought especially after running it for a lil while it sounds so good now how the exhaust sounds at idle it's not loud but it's not too quiet either. The tone is a deep clean tone all together and both side's sound on the same rythm together. One thing is at low speed and RPM you really can't tell with the x pipe HP and Torque i gained but when you floor it and at high rpm's it get's up and goes and it's really smooth thru shifts and the exhaust get's louder toned which i love and i can def. tell the needle on the dash moves a good bit faster now ha. Overall i'm happy with th x pipe i believe for $80 it's well worth it in performance wise and sound. I hear people say it sounds like a Nascar sound but idk what they are talkin about lol get serious haha it really didn't quit my truck to much more than it is now plus seems quit compared to when i just had straights and no muffler. I know when i floor it at a dead stop both my back tires turn over before when i had just straights it wouldn't even attempt to turn 1 over so performance wise and sound wise i'm happy with a muffler and x pipe and the difference it's already made!
