If thats to strip the chrome and paint to match that's a good price. Just make sure hes not using a cheap clear coat. If ours a cheap clear it will fade before the rest of your truck.

I doubt they would use a cheap clear coat being that i'm getting it done at the dealership i bought the truck from and it's also a chevy dealer.

I am with sstoner. If they prep it right and use good quality supplies it sounds good. But if it is like all the Macco comercials on tv than I would say don't do it.

No it want be done cheap at all guys. The guy's doing it works at the dealership and i know them really well. They even help me out with anything i need to get put on incluing my nerf steps and helped me for free. I am getting them to install my nitto terra grapplers this weekend and tighten my whole suspension for $20 so i get good deals. My buddy said he would take the front/rear bumper off and the painter would strip the chrome off and mix up some paint to match and prep and paint and after use a couple coats of some clear. lol this isn't being done by just some random person at there house lol i wouldnt dare trust anyone like that!

That sounds like a sparkling deal Jake. Most of the labor involved is getting the chrome off (one bitch of a job to do that) I think that's an excellent price considering shop labor rates, & since it's a dealer you've dealt with before, they're not going to do a crappy job. They have their reputation to protect.:great:

yeah man sometimes i wonder how much i save on my buddy working at the dealership and hookin me up on deals. The thing is i help them out and myself out by most time they do it on the weekend there at the dealership so they get too kepp the money themselves instead of just getting paid by the hour. I think this is really smart and helps both the customer and the worker doing the work!

275 is a good deal, theres a lot more work involved in it than most people think......tear down, prep, paint, assembly. you can rack up a big bill pretty fast and materials arent cheap either.
but make sue they use etch primer and then follow up with a few coats of high build and block em out.....we did some at the shop i work at and even tho the chrome looks nice and straight black will show ever imperfection and being that is stamped out of steel it will need a bit of work to give you the clean fit your looking for

Yeah i agree. I plan on just painting my plastic on the front/rear bumper and changing my grill at and leaving the lil bit of chrome so it want look too plain. I plan on doing that sometime in next year but i'm getting my tow mirror's color matched next month for $120 which is a really good deal!
