My rear end went out well the spider gears inside did and I’m going to replace them but the pin only moves out 3/4 of a inch out on both sides and won’t come out you can spin the pin but it would not slide out thinking it’s stuck on a spider gear but how would I go about getting it out

Since the spiders went bad its highly likely that the shaft has damage like a ridge on it. Did the pinion shaft retaining bolt come out 100% and not broken? You could possibly use a slide hammer puller adapted to the shaft pin hole to see if it will budge at all gently. Good luck

I had this happen too.
Ended up torching the shaft in pieces, and beating it out. Ended up scrapping the carrier and differential. The only part saved was the housing.
This is a death-nell for a rear end.
