Until you get a recall notice the dealer will do nothing, mainly because they don't have a fix yet. Until they get a fix they will not send out recall notices.
Makes sense to me, that way when you get the recall notice you call the dealer and make an appt. to get it fixed.
Otherwise you have 10,000 people showing up to get their truck or car fixed all at once. They go by vehicle registrations, so if it's registered you will get the notice as soon as it is available.
