Hey everyone.

The driver side power windows in 2002 Suburban has been not working properly.

When you push the button to move the window down, the window doesn't hardly move....but I can hear the motor turning.

The window won't go down far at all, but it will go back up.

I'm not really sure where to start.

I was just reading some other posts on the forum about the windows, and I'm wondering where everyone thinks I should start first.

Thanks !

P.S. This is the article I found here on the GM forum...Very descriptive ! : http://www.bodyshopzone.com/archives/trim/door_panels/Chevy/Suburban_2002/dp_remove_brbn.html

It sounds to me like the gear on the window motor is stripped out, or the portion on the regulator. Either way, you'd have to pull the door panel to find out.

There is a cable that can snap at times, you can buy the complete assembly on ebay and replace it. Not a hard job should take about 2-3 hours look for hidden screws that hold the door panel on don't rip it off it will come off easy when all the screws are removed.
