I have a 98 K1500 and the radio is the one with the CD player, I was wondering if I could put an aftermarket radio where the CD player goes? I just thought it might be nice to keep my stock radio but I also want a way to play my iPod through my system. I've been looking and that seemed like the most reasonable thing to do. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Thank you, Ryan

2 radios don't work like that in a car unless you use about 13 relays.. Is your year the one with the radio one place and the Cass or Cd is in the lower dash? If so Metra makes a kit to put a new radio in the CD slot and a pocket where the radio is now..

I didn't think so, I just wanted to know because it might be a little weird looking with my year. Yes, mine is that one, the big guy. Thanks for your reply!

Just take the old one out, and replace it with an aftermarket. They can just use a black plastic insert to cover the spot. You wont regret it!
