i recently replaced both upper control arms, upper and lower ball joints, and inner and outer tie rod ends. After getting it aligned, i headed from my shop to home. within the 40 mile trip everything went from copacetic, back to a loud pop and jerking in the steering. Jerking as in "oh Sh**, I'm about to die" I was on the interstate. I was able to limp it the last 10 miles. pulled passenger wheel and tire and noticed that it looks like the lower ball joint it trashed. (extreme angle in the hub assembly, tweaked ball joint angles as well) Im running out of patients as this is my wife's grandfathers truck who is since passed and i would love to keep it on the road for her.

is it lifted/lowered? I don't see any grease in there and it NEEDS grease. a very good high pressure grease I use synthetic mobil 1. you got a grase zerk so you can fill it up. I use moog ball joints as they have channels on the ball to hold grease so they don't squeeze it all out.

well its a possiblity it could be faulty part. was it just one or both that came out? it seems like you did everything correct. i always use moog parts on suspension im not saying they are better but they have a good track record with my truck club guys. just warranty it out and try again

While I have seen a few bad Moog parts they are few and far between and they were all hub assemblies. Now Driveworks on the other hand are a 50/50 shot on whether they will be good. I've seen tons that were bad out of the box. My boss tried buying Driveworks parts for customer cars for a little while, now I refuse to install them.
