Hi this is my first post here , I’m looking for some info I was unable to find by searching. I just acquired a 2002 Sierra sl with a 5.3 that didn’t come with cruise control. The throttle body has a single cable that goes to the gas pedal. The wiring diagram provided by Rostra says to connect the gray wire to green/white wire at position K of the 10 speed brake switch connector, however because my truck doesn’t have cruise control, I believe this wire isn’t used. Would it work to tap into the vss high wire to get the signal needed for the cruise module? I appreciate Any help or experience people have had with these aftermarket cruise control units.
