my first thought todat was to move my mint silverado to higher ground.im one block from thr long island sound my street had a 35 foot boat on it in the 1938 huricane my house first floor was flooded im saving my truck no matter what it takes . screw you huricane

You need to just leave as fast as you can. Believe me I grew up in south florida and this is nothing to mess with.

WHAT HE SAID !!!!!!! and my damn boat and truck is in LI NY right now for the race in 2 weeks ...DAMN !

oh, I just did a google search on it and looks like it's gonna hit Sunday AM in Jersey and then NY later Sunday?

Havin gone thru Katrina in LA, move it the F out!! It's not worth the stress or the damage to the house. Hurricanes can be fun, especially if your drinking them! But rain and wind are bad for the craptastic soft hood on your truck

I am on the east end of LI, at least thankfully on the North Fork. My XS ive truck is resting comfortably in the garage, hopefully we will all ride out storm without incident.
