It was only driven on weekends from my garage to my parents garage, and not driven if rain in forecast. It doesn't rain often in So. Cal.

They look at the weather forecast before taking it for a spin.

I have a classic and try not to but I get caught in a rain once in a while on long drives.

It's 26 miles from my garage to parents garage. Straight down the 405 fwy. Gardena to Fountain Valley. Only other trips are to dealership for service.

Not finding fault with how owners care for their vehicles; but I have a hard time understanding why someone would want to drive a vehicle in that manner. I have 2 friends (one was a close friend, the other a work buddy) who treated their cars like that, they both avoided driving in the rain, put them away for the winter, always garaged. They both bought old 2nd vehicles to drive most of the time.
I know we are all different and if that's your thing, that's great; but I buy them to drive them.

I put a lot of miles on my vehicles and I'm not preserving them for the next owner. I want to enjoy driving them.

To be fair, if I had a Corvette (old, or new), or something like a SSR, I'd only drive it on nice days.
I had a '64 Corvair convertible in the '60s, if I had it now, and wish I did, it would be a garage queen.

I have a classic 911 and drive when I feel like going thru the twisties.
I try to pick sunny days only but I can't predict the weather so it gets soaked once in a while, but it's garage kept all it's life. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Sorry to hijack @garretc .

I finally found an old pic of my classic 1993 air-cooled.
For me it's ok to drive in the rain but not on salted winter roads. I just make sure the fender liners and fender lips are clean of mud and debris to retain water and start rust. I even remove the fender liners to clean the insides. OCD?
