Hi my names Sam im looking to do a solid axel swap in the front of my 1989 Chevy C2500 it also only 2wd and im wondering about a 4wd conversion as well. Any help, tips, or useful links would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the club, Sammy. Anything can be done if you have/want to spend the money. Some guys prefer to start with a 2wd because that lets them choose the transfer case the want to run. Theres tons of info on axle swaps on-line. If you have the skills to do yourself then you will save a ton of money, if you don't have the skills then get the check book out. One last thing, no matter who does it don't skimp on parts or you WILL PAY more in the end.
