I picked up a Barry Grant 750cfm Vac Sec carb (yes i know they shut the doors,for now)when i have an aftermarket carb ans an electric choke i have always back probed the Alt harness to find the field wire,it produces the voltage you need only when its running.Just a piggy back clip slid boot back over done.
One of my younger gear head techs told thats not a good idea,supposed to be hard on the electric choke.Understand when you shut the truck off this circuit is dead,only fires up when you start the truck....
Any feedback,thoughts,anyone else do it my way.Im old..excuse me..older but i learn something new every day.
