Check with the dealer. There was a recall on the speedometers. They will fix up to 70,000 miles or 7 years from the date the truck was first put into service.

my friend has an 04 silverado crew cab, his speedometer reads 30 when he is completely stopped, and when he is doin about 60 it reads 105, its all over the place, its got 63k on it, is this a common problem among silverados and is it an easy fix
