Okay so i noticed yesterday on my new truck that my steering wheel seems loose. i can tilt it up and down about a half inch one way and i can also wiggle it from side to side the same. it almost seems like there is a nut holding on the steering wheel and its backed off causing the movement. Oh and this truck is a 2005 Chevy Ext Cab Short bed Z71 with the 5.3 in it. Please help me with this as it is my daily driver and i dont wanna be driving and my steering wheel come off going down the road!

Have you brought this to the attention of your local dealer? I can also look into this with your VIN. Please feel free to contact me via private message as well. Thank you in advance.

Carefully remove the airbag in the center of the wheel and check to see if the nut is loose. Only work on it with the ignition in the OFF position, and be very careful of the wiring to the airbag.
Good Luck and God Bless

Just to be on the safe side, disconnect your battery before removing the air bag
