I do not have a factory tach in my instrument panel, and I really want to get one. Now, I would rather not put one of the small tachs (oh god, or one of the huge ricer tachs) on my dash or steering column, so I'd like to find an instrument panel for the body style that fits in the 91 'burbs that have a tach built in, maybe where the fuel gauge is... I thought I'd check the RPO codes, but those aren't year specific, so I'm stuck. Anyone know if one exists?

why oh why did I have to go looking at tachs on autometer's website...Now I want to fab a completly new IP out of autometer gauges. I don't care for my speedometer ending at 85mph, although I never go past 80...I just don't like how it seems like I'm running out of space on the speedo when I do 80. Plus, my trip odometer doesn't reset. If I could build the actual backer to hold the gauges on, I think it would look real nice. But, back in the real world... I'll go looking in the boneyards for a IP with a tach.

I called up Chevy to see if they even made an instrument panel with a tach, and the guy can't really help me unless I have my complete VIN and the part number of the old IP. Well, I don't have the part number of a IP that has a tach in the dash, but the guy did bring up a point... The wiring harness for the new IP would probably be different from the existing wiring harness. I may just have to go with either a pedastal mounted tach or go with a complete new custom IP...800 bucks worth of autometer sport-comp gauges... *drool*
