I would say that more than likely it will eventually break off. But could last forever I would say leave it alone till it breaks. If you beat on your truck on rough roads it will probably break faster but then if your truck is a street queen and the roads you drive on are fairly smooth it may last for quite a while.

Call around I just replaced a door handle on the barn doors of our 94 Burb and looked it up in the LMC truck catalog and they were like 55 bucks, listed in the catalog as 75 list price.

When I called the dealer it was 52 bucks and they had it the next day.

If you added shipping to the catalog price it would have cost me 70 so I saved buying it at the dealer. Call and ask for a price at your local dealer, than may just surprise you.

Superglue won't hold for long. Epoxy or Gorilla glue might be better but I agree that even a nice set of aftermarket taillights are less than $50.
