I am gonna give the burban a tune up and wondering if anyone has put in 8mm or thicker spark plug wires. I have read that it is less resistance, and that it is supposed to give slight hp and econo gains. does anyone have real world gains to offer?

You won't notice any increase or change in performance unless the previous wires were worn out, bad, or you've got a lot of performance mods that might be able to take advantage of that. The factory wires have plenty of shielding and have just the right amout of resistance, so I'd stick w/ 'em. At least for stock to near-stock applications. :)

i put taylor 8mm in my truck when my stockers went bad. I didnt really notice much difference but I did when I installed an MSD blaster coil with the wires. the aftermarket wires have much less resistance than the stockers
