Hello!

I'm glad I found this forum.

I recently purchased a Charcoal 2005 Chevrolet Silverado LT Crew Cab (5.3L).

Any advice on the best upgrades to start with (cold air intakes?) would be appreciated.

My grill also looks like crap, and I'd like to find a replacement with either a polished or black bowtie.

Thanks!

Gary

first of all welcome!! as of quick upgrades intake, exhaust, and programmer are the three you should look into

intake - K&N, volant
exhaust - magnaflow, flowmaster, or custom bent up by a local shop with your choice of mufflers
programmer - everyone around here seems to be like hypertech

Thanks Pete,

I've spent way too much time on this forum since I discovered it yesterday, but there is a load of good information. I'm not sure wifey is too thrilled though :)

:sign0016:to the Lunatic Frindge!!! I agrre with Pete on the upgrades.
1. CAI
2. LT Headers Manaflow HFC's and Flowmasters on a custom bent true dual setup with H or X pipe
3. A Custom Tune from www.nelsonperformance.com $375 and free retunes or www.gowheatley.com $275 but you pay for retunes. They are able to set more perameters with a cutom tune than with a hand held.
4. E-fans and an underdrive crank pully.
The sky is the limit on what you can do from here. I find my only problem is an empty wallet!
