Well it happened, was driving through an intersection this weekend and someone in the other lane crossed over and smacked me, their car directly hit my left front tire/wheel and part of driver side door. Police indicated they are at fault and I am in the process of getting everything fixed. I am going through my insurance company which will in return request reimbursement from their insurance company.

Here is my question, obviously knowing the front left tire will need to be replaced, should all 4 tires be replaced and will insurance cover all 4 tires? I always thought that the tires should be replaced at the same time (esp for 4x4), but then I also recently read that because of the limited slip differential, all 4 tires must be replaced. Does this make sense? The last thing I want to do is have to go out and buy 3 tires on my dime because someone else hit me.

Any input from past experience is appreciated. Thanks

Sorry to here about your truck, aleast you weren't hurt. Most likely the insurance will pay for only the damaged tire.
