i just put new 285/70/17 discoverer stt's on my sierra with 3 inches of lift and it only rubs ever so slightly when at full turn in reverse. Im am adding 2 inch lift coil springs sometime next week so it shouldnt rub after that, but the chevy bumper is not as fat as the gmc so i think you'll be ok with just the leveling kit. By the way i love my discoverer stt's, excellent choice for a tire, quiet on the road too. I got them for 181 a piece at selecttire.com, i'll post pics as soon as i get the lift put on
