ive been trying to perform a parasitic draw test and news to me my new klein meter wont read dc amps, so i was using voltage and reading same has battery volts, on everything from motor to chasis to ground points. what do i need to do i understand that when you read it that way its looking for a ground but i have a bunch of good grounds i really dont get it. i did make a find that somehow a hot wire going to light circuit the big orange wire from key cylinder was hooked to a ground, couldnt believe it was this way for some time, but i unhooked it and replaced relay and all should of been good i hoped. but no power going to headlight switch that powers fuse and no dome light. what do i do now to fix this meess up.?

First of all you may just be confused.

Is a battery being discharged due to a parasitic draw the only problem?

Head lights, done lights, are they working normally?

Mike, using the voltage setting on a meter will not tell you draw. It will simply tell you the health of the battery.
