I'm fairly certain this is normal. Our Avalanche is the same way, so is my 'burb. I think a certain amount of the vent air catches heat from the engine as it comes in.
Vent blows warm air
04 Silverado (no mods) - stock factory split manual heat control.
When using the vent and no air conditioning the delivered air is about 3-6 degrees warmer than ambient outside air - even when traveling at highway speeds. Is there some adjustment that's a bit off?
