My 2000 gmc sierra started vibrating and making a sqeaking noise so i checked my wheel bearings and the left front was bad. I replaced that hub and that got rid of most of the vibration and the squeaking went away. I also changed out my rear u joint and its still vibrating at just the right speeds. I think it has something to do with the driveshaft. Any help would be great. Thanks Dan

I had a vibrating noise at speeds between 45 and 65. It was intermittent but constant if that makes sense. I thought maybe it was a wheel bearing or ujoint. turns out the noise was in the transmission. I went and had a transmission flush done and that really made a differance. I hear it occasionally now but not all the time and it shifts better now too. My vehicle is a 2000 Tahoe with the 5.7 liter engine, old body style. Hope this helps!

Can you feel the vibration in the steering wheel? IF its in the wheel it could be a idler arm, pitman arm, tie rod end or your jusn in need of a alignment
I can only feel the vibration in the seat, someone told me it could be my tire balance. I looked at my tires and one of them has a broken weight. Is their a way i can check those front end parts to see if their bad? Thanks Dan

If you take the truck to get a alignment they will tell you if they are bad, and it does not cost much to get your tires balanced. I would try getting them balanced and see what happenes. To check the idler arm/pitman arm jack the front of the truck on one side so that one tire is in the air and the other is still on the ground, if you grab the tire that is in the air and try to push/ pull the tire in the same motion as if you where steering it. there shouldnt be any play in it. than do the same for the other side. The idler arm is on the passenger side and the pitman arm is on the driver. Sorry if this is hard to understand i cant think of a good way to explain it.

Ill probably go get my tires balanced, but today i was going down the interstate and once i hit 65 it is just a slight vibration and its only when im on the gas in od. It does it sometimes at like 35 and again its only when im on the gas. My u joints are good and im pretty sure my driveshaft is balanced. So could this be trans or transfer case problem? Thanks Dan

Check the u-joints in the front drive shaft. When driving put it in 4wd and see if vibration gets worse. The front drive shaft will spin at different speeds even when in 2wd causing vibration at different speeds.
